Our Background
In 2009 Europe’s premier brewer, Amsterdam based HEINEKEN, acquired Scottish & Newcastle PLC to create the world’s fourth largest brewing business.
After the merger S&N’s leased pub operation was renamed Scottish & Newcastle Pub Company (S&NPC) and whilst our name may have changed our commitment to restoring British pubs to their rightful place at the heart of their communities remains the same.

The HEINEKEN family of brands now contains some of the Britain’s best known beers, lagers and ciders. John Smith’s bitter, Foster’s lager and Strongbow cider are consistently the leading brands in their respective sectors and high performing brands are essential for high performing pubs!
Besides our core beer and cider brands S&NPC can offer its pubs access to the wider HEINEKEN portfolio of the best selling speciality brands such as Tiger Beer and Deuchars IPA. These brands are all designed to attract premium customers prepared to pay premium prices in your pub.
